Carpenter and Cook & Nylon Coffee Roasters
My sister’s good friend Shenn recently opened a new cafe and vintage furniture shop in Bukit Timah, called Carpenter and Cook. So my sister brought us there for a visit and it was a really really nice place! It was packed that weekend, as it was their 2nd week open and they had quite a bit of press about them so far.
Carpenter and Cook is not just a cafe, they also sell vintage furniture and do party planning! The place is decorated with vintage furniture that’s for sale, and the place is packed with lovely pieces and details all over:
We ordered a bunch of pastries from their display, and they were all very yummy! Dylan attacked the strawberry tart while we had the savoury Olive and Sundried Tomato Brioche:
The passionfruit tart was one of everyone’s favourite and we all rounded it off refreshing lemonades. Will definitely be heading back if we ever get the car!
After the mini meal, we decided to hope by Jiaqi’s Uncle’s shop Nylon Coffee Roasters to see it and have a cup of coffee. We’re not big coffee drinkers, but it tasted great, they have a great set up going on down in Everton Park, a really cosy place to have a coffee and have a chat with the owners.
It was a great day visiting 2 lovely new places to chill out and have a drink or some yummy pastries. Hope we can head back soon!
